Susan Mitchell, the hospital manager, is thrilled as she finally secures Brimlington as the venue for the Annual Regional Hospital Awards. She’s also managed to secure a high-profile host for the event, Jeremy Lace, known for his role in the long-running TV series Good Medicine. Meanwhile, hospital chaplain Father Kenny and local radio DJ Ivan are in competition for the Patients Choice Awards. At the same time, Ian finds himself confronting traditional medical practices more directly than ever before.
